Our pROGRAMS
We welcome anyone who wants to participate and belong in their local community. All our programs are free or at low cost and are almost entirely volunteer created and led based on the needs and strengths they noticed in the community.
Some programs have limited space available, please enquire if you are interested in being involved.

Young Parents’ Playgroup
Fusion Mornington runs an engaging playgroup at the community house, designed to offer a supportive and stimulating environment for young parents / caregivers and their children aged 0-5 years. This weekly gathering provides a wonderful opportunity for little ones to explore and learn through play, while parents and guardians connect with others in the community.
Activities include arts and crafts, sensory play, food, and music and movement, all aimed at fostering creativity, social skills, and early learning development. The space is equipped with age-appropriate toys and resources to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone.
Participants can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while sharing experiences, parenting tips, and building friendships.
This programs runs on Tuesdays of the school term, 9:30-11 am. Enquiries first before attendance.

Kid’s club is a fun and engaging after school club that runs activities that foster connection, participation and values building.
This program is aimed at upper primary and lower secondary school kids, providing after school snacks, fun activities and a space for conversation and connection.
This program runs Wednesdays weekly during the school term, 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Sign up is required before participation.

This program offers an open, calm and inviting space to reflect and be present to yourself and surroundings.
It begins with a conversational space for mindfulness and connection and ends with a relaxing guided meditation.
It is an open space for all ages, skill levels and beliefs, everyone is welcome. Runs every Monday evening, 7 - 8:30 pm.

This program offers an open space for all skills levels to join together to work on individual and guided sewing projects.
Machines, tools and materials are provided, giving everyone an opportunity to work towards their goals.

Mornington Generous Hearts offers free fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and limited packaged goods to the community.
No questions asked, this program is open to anyone in the community in need of food and connection to others.
This program runs every single weekend on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 - 11 am. Food is all donated and is subject to availability on the day.

The community House enjoys a street facing community vegetable garden and a variety of young native plants. There is also a free street library and street pantry for the community to enjoy as they walk past.
Join us on the second Saturday of the Month from 10:30 am onwards to maintain, tend and expand the veggie and general garden.
Each month the group will also enjoy a free sausage sizzle.

Art from the Heart is an open and casual therapeutic art group for all ages and all skills.
Come along to learn different art skills, mediums and textures while also exploring yourself and making meaning through art.
This program is open to all ages and all skill levels and runs on every Saturday of the school term 3:30 - 5 pm.

Fantastic foods brings locals with years of cooking experience together with other locals wanting to know and learn more about cooking.
This program brings people together to learn some tried and tested recipes and techniques. It also has a strong social aspect of coming together, sharing knowledge, creating a meal together and then enjoying good conversation and great food while eating that meal together.
All ingredients are provided, as well as some ingredients to take home and recreate the meal.
This programs runs as a limited space 8 week program on Sundays 12 - 2 pm. Enquiries for the next round are essential.

The Community House runs a range of small and larger events throughout the year.
Events coming up this year include:
Tanti’s ‘Welcome to Spring’ community festival, at Mornington Park Primary School.
Sunday August 31st, 12 pm onwards. Lunch and music provided, with activities for the whole family.
